DANIEL PINNER UPDATE: JAIL INFO.

Shalom all,

Daniel called me tonite to update me on visiting days/hours, etc. and to give me a hesped he had prepared for the shloshim of his mother z"l (my next post).

He's at Ma'asiyahu Prison in Ramle, where he was imprisoned before in his first 10 months in jail. Visiting days/hours are Fridays 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Sundays 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Maximum 3 visitors, who must arrive the same time on the same day.(sometimes special permission is given for more than 3 visitors).

On your visit, bring telecards, preferably the large ones - this is his most important possession in jail (he says people can also mail him telecards). He can also have magazines and newspapers, but books are problematic. No food or drink is allowed to be brought in.

As of this writing, Daniel still doesn't have a canteen account set up, but as soon as he does I will post the account number for those willing and able to make generous deposits into it. If I recall correctly from past experience, be prepared for a possible long wait outside the prison, no matter what the weather conditions.

I strongly encourage his friends to visit him and to write to him. Again, the address:
Daniel Pinner-Political Prisoner, Ma'asiyahu Prison, Agaf HaHitnatkut, P.O. Box 13, 72100

To arrange a visit, please call his home phone 03-9068079 with your phone number for him to reach you, so visits can be coordinated in advance.

Kol Tuv,
Dina
